chrome://extensionshey drop buy peanut butter and watch it workMost listening extensions either hide that they listen, or sell what they hear. This one doesn't do either. It listens for an explicit wake phrase — "hey drop" — and only acts when you say it. Everything else is ignored.
Audio is transcribed by Chrome's built-in webkitSpeechRecognition API, which routes microphone audio to Google's servers for transcription. The extension only receives the text Chrome gives back. We don't store the audio. We don't track who you are. There's no sign-in, no account, no analytics. Everything happens in your browser.
A future version will swap in a local whisper.wasm engine so audio never leaves your machine.
Amazon search links generated by this extension include an Associates tag. If you buy something after clicking through, this site earns a small commission at no extra cost to you. That's how the project is funded.
Not a general "browser assistant." Not a Siri replacement. Not an AI agent. It does three things — shop, lookup, note — and stays out of the way otherwise.
